Personality: An extremely bright individual, Shikamaru is generally
bored by the people and situations around him because they are rarely
a challenge and so far not really worth the effort. He finds the whole
idea of being the typical partying college student to be rather
idiotic and pointless.
He often sleeps through classes and bullshits his way through papers
because the classes aren't really that hard. If he cracks a book it's
to check facts and then it's often to point out that according to new
evidence the book is wrong.
History: Shikamaru had a fairly normal childhood, middle class income
range, two parents, no siblings, and gets along with his dad because
they share a lot of personality traits, including the laziness. At the
same time he doesn't understand why the man puts up with his
overbearing and manipulative mom. He chose this college he did over
other strictly to annoy his mother who wanted him to go to some place
like Yale.
His mother wants him to be a doctor or a lawyer and his dad 'agrees'
with her but then when he dropped the college applications and
pamphlets off in Shika's room he left a pamplet on the meteorology
classes one of the colleges offered too, it was mixed in seemingly
accidentally.

a bit slow to respond just poke me if I get distracted.
